Thanks to their basic geometry surface finishing machines have been designed for low employment of staff, independent of their degree of automation. Nevertheless, the parts feeding, but especially the taking over of parts out of the machines, often means personal handling. Particularly if it is the point to put sensitive parts properly into parts receivers or packing units. At this stage the human hand with all its preferences may perfectly be replaced by robotics.
We are visualizing this process with help of a model of a throughfeed machine type DL on out booth at the following exhibitions:
AMB, Stuttgart 18.-22.09.2018 hall 8, booth no. 8C45
EUROBLECH, Hanover 23.-26.10.2018 hall 13, booth no. F125
Spaleck exhibits a machine type DL model on a scale of 1:3 in connection with a robot. With help of a camera the robot takes a part in an interval of 15 seconds to feed the throughfeed machine, where a deburring process of approx. 12 minutes takes place.
At the discharge of the machine the robot takes out the part to store it properly. Thus, a completely operator-free, continuous process is assured. The example shows the actual potential of robotics with fully or partly automated surface finishing machines.
You are curious? You are cordially invited to visit us on one of the above-mentioned exhibitions. For free entry please contact Spaleck to get a voucher for the respective exhibition!
